Job Description

This position requires the ability to work efficiently under minimal supervision, exercising initiative and independent judgment in the performance of assigned tasks and assisting in the Plant engineering- Structural frame, Pipe routing, Mechanical vessel modelling.

This position reports directly to the Engineering Manager and will also work in cooperation with the sales and marketing managers, as needed.

Knowledge and Abilities

• Use Solidworks software to generate 3D modelling and detailing of Skid frame, Pipe routing, Mechanical vessels.
• Develop 3D modelling and supporting of complex process and mechanical piping systems with given basic information such as PID s, piping specifications, equipment arrangement drawings, etc.
• Should Have Hands on Experience in Modelling & detailing of various steel Structures.
• Responsible for the complete piping design, Skid frame, static vessel creations.
• Responsible for preparing GA drawing and Fabrication drawing.
• Review/comment on vendor drawings.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality a must in reviewing, checking and clash checking other designer’s work.
• Prepare material take-offs for cost estimates and material procurement during concept and basis of design phases.
• Develop bill of materials, costing analysis, as needed.
• Work with domestic and international teams to develop and support products.
• Update engineering manager with regular reporting of progress and status.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering with 3+ years of experience.
• Extensive experience with Solidworks 3D/ Inventor/Autocad.
• Hands on experience in 3D modelling of Steel Structures- Skid Frame, Pipe Routing and Mechanical vessels.
• Exposure to international codes and standards (ASME).
• Exposure to skid design and modelling specifically for the oil gas industry.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Works independently and with minimal supervision.
• Experience from Design engineering firms, preferred.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office software.
