International Material Data system

Global Automotive Declarable Substance List (GADSL) was developed by the Global Auto Stake-holders, to assure environmental and health regulation compliance. GADSL was introduced to simplify reporting throughout the supply chain by reducing multiple lists to one. GADSL developed a globally harmonized list and a process for complying with multiple declarable substance and end-of-life regulations. GADSL includes only substances expected to be present in a material or part in a vehicle at point of sale. IMDS (International Material Data System) is an internet-based system which is used to track the materials in vehicles. In 1998 few leaders in automobile industry came together to develop IMDS. Current OEMs requiring IMDS include but not limited to BMW, Daimler Chrysler, Fiat, Ford, Fuji Heavy Industries, General Motors, Hyundai, Isuzu, Mazda, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Nissan Diesel, Porsche, Suzuki, Toyota, Volkswagen and Volvo. Sunstream, with our IMDS experienced resources can assist companies to effectively manage environmental compliance documentation of the products in to this system.
